Improving FINANCING for child welfare systems
The National Foster Care Coalition (NFCC) and its members strive to build consensus and public will around critical issues facing child welfare. Child welfare financing is a complex issue, and one that does not lend itself to simple solutions. NFCC participates in ongoing dialogues among advocates, government representatives, and other stakeholders regarding federal and state roles in funding child welfare services, the need for flexibility in local funding, and for ensuring that investments in child welfare result in improved outcomes for children, youth, and families.
NFCC Activities on Child Welfare Financing
NFCC is currently working with both the Kids Are Waiting Campaign and the Partnership to Protect Children and Strengthen Families to disseminate information and to build consensus in the advocacy and child welfare practice communities on recommendations to Congress and the Administration.
